Posture, Walking & Orthotics
Poor posture, altered walking patterns, foot mechanics and pelvic imbalance can change how force travels through the body and contribute to recurring pain, stiffness and uneven movement.
DOES THIS SOUND FAMILIAR?
01
Poor Posture or Spinal Imbalance
Forward head posture, rounded shoulders, uneven hips or visible asymmetry when standing or sitting.
02
Walking or Gait Problems
Uneven walking, limping, one-sided loading or feeling that one leg or hip works differently from the other.
03
Flat Feet or Excessive Inward Roll
Feet that collapse inward, poor arch support or uneven shoe wear that may affect the knees, hips and lower back.
04
Scoliosis or Spinal Asymmetry
Uneven shoulders, ribs or hips, spinal curvature or postural changes that affect balance and movement.
WHY DOES IT KEEP COMING BACK?
Posture, feet, walking pattern, pelvis and spinal alignment all influence one another. If one part of the movement chain is not working well, other areas may compensate. That is why I assess the body as a whole rather than treating only where the pain is felt.
HOW I TREAT IT.
01
Posture & Spinal Assessment
I assess spinal alignment, posture and movement patterns to identify where imbalance or compensation may be developing.
Walking & Gait Analysis
02
I look at how the feet, knees, hips and pelvis move during walking to identify asymmetry and abnormal loading.
Foot & Orthotic Assessment
03
I assess foot posture, arch function and inward roll to determine whether customised orthotic support may help.
04
Corrective Care Plan
Where needed, I combine chiropractic care, posture correction, movement advice and orthotic support to improve overall alignment and function.
